"Serpents and Shallows", the follow up to their debut collaborative album "Howl and Tell" by thisquietarmy & otay:onii was created on the same evening as its predecessor - however with a different mindset, a renewed energy and a different recording process altogether.

While "Howl and tell" reeks of angst and intensity, powered by its lo-fi rawness, "Serpents and Shallows" starts off as a more dreamy and melancholic tales, rituals building up into a wash of turbulent noise that unfolds to different chapters, riding the rollercoaster of spiritual waves, holding up the divine tension, and gradually releasing the physical energy into a rhythmic discharge.
